THE SANCTITY OF ALCOHOL: -

Allah Almighty gave the Muslims the favorable environment of Madinah to live in an Islamic environment and follow the divine commandments. So that all the rituals and bad habits of the age of Jahiliyya will be abolished and the practical model of Islamic society will come before the world. Their (Arabs) worst habit was drinking, its love was in the Arabs’ scum. The first commandment about alcohol and gambling was revealed in 3H, that there is more evil and sin in it than good. It even corrupts the intellect and consciousness, so some people left it; Then the second order was revealed do not go near the prayer while drunk and intoxicated. Therefore, the companions of the Prophet abandoned it, saying that when one cannot pray while intoxicated, one should avoid it. Then the third verse of Surah al-Maidah regarding alcohol was revealed, in which alcohol was absolutely forbidden. The state of the faith of the Companions was such that they broke the wine vessels and fists as soon as they were ordered until the streets and roads of Madinah were seen flowing with wine.

AN INCIDENT ABOUT ARTICLE:-

The sound of drumming is echoing in the atmosphere of Madinah-ul-Nabi. Every person has raised his voice and is proclaiming that Allah has forbidden alcohol. Soon this news spread throughout the city and then the sky saw a strange scene of obedience. The wine that is in the mouth of the Arabs is only a select few who have not taken this Umm al-Khabayth, otherwise, whether they are young or old, all of them are addicted to it. Alcohol furnaces are set up in every house. Gatherings are held in the cowsheds and houses, and the children of the hosts drink in these gatherings. These people surrendered as soon as they heard God’s command, they gave up this habit that had been ingrained for a long time in such a way that they did not touch Sagar and Meena again.

The period of Jam is going on in the house of Abu Talha (RA). Abu Ubaidah, (May Allah be pleased with him), Abi Ibn Ka’b, (May Allah be pleased with him), and some other companions are part of the gathering. Anas (RA) is drinking wine. Suddenly, the voice of the preacher is heard. Abu Talha (Radiyallahu Anhu) says: “Anas (Radiyallahu Anhu) came out and see what kind of voice it is”. Anas (Radiyallahu Anhu) leaves the house. After a while, they come and say: “The preacher is announcing that alcohol has become haram.”

The lips are immediately separated. After hearing the announcement, not even a single drop of the sip can go down the throat. Abu Talha (RA) immediately poured his cup. Abu Ubaidah (RA), Abi Ibn Ka’b (RA), and other companions are trying to outdo each other. When the cups of the hands have been poured, Abu Talha (RA) says: “Anas (RA) also pour the pot wine”. Anas (RA) obeys the order. This is the scene in every house and every party. No one delays the order. People are throwing alcohol in such abundance that alcohol flows like water in the streets of Madinah.

Some Quranic Ayahs About Article:-

They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, “In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit.” And they ask you what they should spend. Say, “The excess [beyond needs].” Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought.

Surah Baqarah: - 219

O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.

Surah Baqarah: - 90

Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?

Surah Baqarah: - 91
