ATTACK ON MEDINA’s PASTURE:-
When Muslims migrated to Madinah to protect their religion
and faith, and started inviting people to Islam in a pleasant environment,
people began to enter Islam, so seeing the increasing number of Muslims, Kuffar
feel a threat to themselves. The polytheists of Makkah started preparing for
war to attack Madinah, while the Muslims wanted to live in peace and
tranquility in Madinah, but the polytheists of Makkah kept teasing the people
of Madinah to fight, so Qureshi Sardar Kurz bin Jaber Fihri attacked the
pasture of Madinah and ran away with a hundred camels, and all the people of
Makkah invested money to prepare for the war and sent a trade caravan to the
country of Syria, so that by using its profits to buy war equipment To fight a
decisive battle with the Muslims, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) finally allowed the Companions to fight against them in
order to stop the persecution of the polytheists of Makkah.
BATTLE OF BADR: -
In order to erase the Muslims from the face of existence,
the polytheists of Makkah left Makkah with an army of 1000 men, all of them
armed with weapons. When the Prophet ﷺ received the news, he ﷺ left Madinah with his companions to fight them, whose
number was three hundred and thirteen or a little more, while the Muslims had
seventy camels, two horses and eight swords. This was the first battle of right
and wrong in the field of Badr. The polytheists had already captured the water
fountains. Because of which the Muslims had to camp in the dry and desert,
where there was no water for ablution and bathing, even for drinking, so the
Prophet ﷺ straightened the ranks of the Companions and went to the
tent and in the state of prostration. Prayed: “O Allah! If you destroy
this handful of people today, there will be no one left on earth to worship
you.” Allah sent rain with the blessing of this dua, which fulfilled
all the needs, the battlefield also became favorable, due to which the Muslims
were blessed with a glorious victory. 70 people of Quraysh were killed, 70 were
captured, while only 14 companions of the Muslims were martyred.
GOOD TREATMENT OF PRISONERS: -
In the Battle of Badr, 70 polytheists were imprisoned, who
were brought to Madinah, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) divided the prisoners into Companions, ordered them to treat them well and
do well. Treated them in such a way that no nation in the world can set an
example of this justice and kindness. The arms of Hazrat Abbas, the uncle of the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were tied around his waist,
and when the Prophet (peace be upon him) became restless due to his moaning,
the Companions loosened his rope. Due to their concession, the Holy Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) loosened the ropes of all the
prisoners while doing justice. The good behavior of the Companions was such
that they kept their children hungry and fed the prisoners and clothed them
despite their need. The rich prisoners were released with a ransom of four
thousand dirhams and the educated poor prisoners were set free in exchange for
teaching ten men to read and write and the illiterate poor prisoners were
released without any compensation. Is there any such example in the history of
any nation?
