MIGRATION OF MUSLIMS TO MADINAH: -
Muslims were being oppressed in Makkah, so the Messenger of
Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) allowed Muslims to go to
Madinah after the second pledge of allegiance to Uqbah. Among the Muslims, Abu Salmah
was the first to intend to migrate and prepared a ride and kept his luggage and
took his wife Umm Salmah and his son Salmah with him, but Bani al-Mughira did
not let Umm Salmah go and Bani Abd al-Asad His son Salma was taken away. In
which one of the child’s hands was also torn off۔ after
that, Abu Salma migrated alone. Umm Salma used to come to Maqam Abtakh every
day and used to cry. Thus a year passed. Finally, a person took pity on her and
convinced the Quraish of Makkah to send her to her husband Abu Salmah. At that
time Bani Abd al-Asad returned his son Salmah. With which she somehow reached
Madinah. Apart from them, other Muslims also had to face a lot of difficulties
in migrating. They had to leave their beloved homeland, wealth and relatives
for the sake of Islam. When Hazrat Suhaib (RA) planned to migrate, the
polytheists stopped him. Hazrat Suhaib (Radi Allahu Anha) satisfied him by
giving all his property and migrated. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) received the news of this, he said that Suhaib
made a deal for profit, which is mentioned in the Qur’an.
THE FAILED CONSPIRACY TO KILL THE PROPHET (PEACE AND BLESSINGS OF ALLAH BE UPON HIM): -
When the Quraish learned that Muhammad (peace be upon him)
was also about to migrate, they were very worried that if Muhammad (peace be
upon him) also went to Madinah, Islam would take root and then he (PBUH) would
join his companions. They will take revenge and kill us. Accordingly, they
assembled for the conspiracy at the house of Qusay bin Kalab, known as Darul-Nadwah,
in which the chiefs of each tribe were present. They all agreed that one person
from each tribe should gather and all of them should kill the Holy Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (praised to be Allah) with swords.
After this decision, they surrounded the Prophet’s house at night and waited
for Muhammad (peace be upon him) to come out for the Morning Prayer. So will
destroy him (PBUH) with swords, But Allah informed the Messenger of Allah ï·º about this conspiracy of Quraysh. That is why he made
Hazrat Ali (RA) lie down on his bed at night and passed in front of them while
reciting Surah Yasin and putting dust on their heads, and Allah (SWT) covered their
eyes. These people did not know anything, in the morning when they saw Hazrat
Ali coming out, they were very ashamed.
MIGRATION OF THE HOLY PROPHET (PBUH): -
When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be
upon him) received the permission to migrate, he informed Hazrat Abu Bakr
Siddique (RA), and when the time for migration came, he left the house at night
and looked at the Kaaba in farewell and said: I love you more than all the world.
If my people had not removed me from here, I would not have chosen any other
place to live except you. Hazrat Asma bint Abu Bakr prepared two or three days’
worth of food and drink. He (PBUH) left Makkah with Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA). On
one side was the grief of leaving the beloved homeland and on the other side
was the fear of the difficult path of pointed stones and enemies from all
sides. But for the sake of Islam, the Imam of the Prophets are moving forward,
suffering all the troubles. On the way, Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) sometimes walked
forward and sometimes walked back. When the Holy Prophet asked the reason for
this, he said: O Messenger of Allah! When I think of someone coming from
behind, I start walking behind and when there is a danger of being ambushed by
someone ahead, I start walking ahead. Because the opposition of the infidels
was strong and those people (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) were
trying to kill him (PBUH) (Praised to be Allah). Therefore, on the way, he and
Hazrat Abu Bakr (Radi Allahu Anha) took shelter in the “Cave of Thor”. Hazrat
Abu Bakr (Radi Allahu Anha) entered this cave first and cleaned it. Then the
Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered it and stayed
in that cave for three days.
HOLY PROPHET (PEACE AND BLESSINGS OF ALLAH BE UPON HIM) IN THE CAVE OF THOR: -
Both the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and Hazrat
Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) had left Makkah and reached the Cave of Thor. Meanwhile,
the polytheists began to chase, and while searching, reached the very mouth of
the cave of Thor. At that time, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) said, “O Messenger
of Allah! If any of them took a single step forward, they would see us.” The
Prophet ï·º said: “Do not be afraid, Allah is with us”. Allah Almighty
protected both of them with His power. And those people returned. Hazrat Abu
Bakr Siddique (RA) had told his son Abdullah that he should come at night and
tell them what was happening between the polytheists. Therefore, he used to
come to the cave at night and inform the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) about the conspiracies of the polytheists. And Hazrat Asmaa
bint Abu Bakr (RA) used to deliver food etc. In this way, three days passed
here, then they left for Madinah
DEPARTURE OF THE HOLY PROPHET (PBUH) FROM CAVE THOR: -
During the Hijra, the Messenger of Allah (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed in the Cave of Thor for three days on
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, then when the commotion in Makkah subsided, he
decided to leave for Madinah. Abdullah bin Ariqat was very skilled in guiding
the way, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) had already prepared him on wages to
reach Madinah by giving him two rides. When Abdullah ibn Ariqat brought rides,
he presented them to the service of the Prophet, so you ï·º loved
a Camel dearly. In this way, the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Hazrat Abu Bakr, Amir Bin
Fahira and Abdullah Bin Ariqat left for Madinah. These gentlemen left the
normal route and took the coastal route. In the same journey, the Holy Prophet
passed by the tent of Umm Mabad, so he, with the permission of Umm Mabad, took
their dry uddered and weak goat. After washing the milk, everyone drank it,
then after washing the milk and giving it to Umm Mabad, the disbelievers had
announced that the one who would arrest Muhammad (peace be upon him) would be
rewarded with a hundred camels. Will be given. There, Saraqa bin Malik chased
the camels on horseback. When he came near, he prayed, due to which both the
forelegs of his horse sank into the ground up to the knees. He started
apologizing and promised that if he was saved, he would stop the infidels from
following him, then he (PBUH) prayed and he was saved.
WAITING FOR THE HOLY PROPHET (PBUH) IN MADINAH: -
When the people of Madinah learned that the Messenger of
Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was coming to Madinah after
migrating from Makkah, their joy was endless. Hymns were sung in celebration of
the coming of the Messenger of Allah. Every day, the young and the old would go
out of the city and wait for the arrival of the Prophet, peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him, until noon. One day, he was returning after waiting, when a
Jew saw him (peace be upon him) and immediately raised his voice, people! The
ones you were eagerly waiting for came, what happened next, on hearing this
voice, a wave of happiness spread throughout the city and the entire city
echoed with the slogans of Allahu Akbar and all the Muslims came out to welcome
them, The Ansar came from all directions and greeted each other with love and
devotion. About five hundred Ansaris welcomed the Holy Prophet(PBUH).
THE CONSTRUCTION OF MASJID QUBA AND THE FIRST FRIDAY: -
About three miles away from Madinah, there is a small
settlement called Quba, many families of the Ansar lived here and Kulthum bin
Hadam was their leader. During the migration, the Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allah be upon him) first stayed in Quba and was a guest in the house of
Kulthum bin Hadam. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) laid the foundation of a mosque here with his blessed hands, the name of
which is Masjid Quba. In the construction of the mosque, along with the
Companions, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself also
worked and lifted the heavy stones. This is the mosque, whose glory is
mentioned in the Holy Qur’an (Lamsajd
Ais-e-al-y-al-taqquy-min-aw-ul-yum-al-ayah), that is, the foundation of
this mosque has been laid on piety from the very first day, and it is more
deserving of this, that you,( may Allah bless you and grant him peace), stand
in it for prayer, among them there are people who love cleanliness and Allah loves
those who live cleanly. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) stayed here for fourteen days and left on Friday, the 12th of
Rabi al-Awwal 1 Hijri. They had reached the houses of Bani Salem when it was
Friday. He (PBUH) performed the Friday prayer and delivered the sermon. It was
the first Friday prayer in Islam. About a hundred people joined him (PBUH) in
prayer.
RECEPTION OF THE HOLY PROPHET (PBUH) IN MADINAH: -
After staying in the Quba for fourteen days, the Messenger
of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) left for Madinah. When the
people came to know about the Prophet’s visit, they all came out in joy and stood
on the side of the road The entire Madinah echoed with the slogans of Allahu
Akbar, the girls of the Ansar started reciting these verses in joy: “The
arrival of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, is as if the moon of the
fourteenth had come out from the valleys of Mount Wadah. Therefore, as long as
there remains in the world a person who takes the name of Allah, their
gratitude will be obligatory on us, O those who are sent among us! You have
brought obedient orders”, and the girls of Banu Najjar were playing the
tambourine and saying: “We are the girls of the family of Najjar, what a
good neighbor Muhammad is.” Hazrat Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anha says
I have never seen a day more beautiful and bright than the day when the
Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us here
(Madinah).
THE BLESSED HOUSE WHERE THE PROPHET (PEACE AND BLESSING OF ALLAH BE UPON HIM) STAYED: -
When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be
upon him) migrated from Makkah and came to Madinah, the people here welcomed
him enthusiastically. On both sides of the road from Quba to Madinah, the holy
congregation of the Companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, stood in a row. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be
upon him) entered Madinah, every tribe and family member was eager and every
person had a heartfelt desire to have the honor of hosting the Holy Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so in the service of the Holy
Prophet, everyone would hold a camel’s nickel and say that my house, my wealth
and my life are all present for you. But you used to bless them and say leave
the camel! It is running by the order of Allah. She will stay wherever Allah
orders her, the camel stopped in front of Hazrat Abu Ayub Ansari’s house.
Sayyidna Abu Ayyub Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, picked up Kajawa and
took it to his home. Thus they got the honor of hosting this great prophet. He
(PBUH) stayed in this house for seven months.
