APPEARANCE OF HYPOCRITES IN MADINAH: -
A hypocrite is a person who pretends to be a Muslim with his
tongue, but hides disbelief in his heart. When the Muslims migrated and came to
Madinah, due to the acceptance of the faith of the people, Islam began to spread
rapidly and the Muslims began to gain strength and power. So the group of
hypocrites who are hostile to Islam and Muslims came to the fore who would
express their faith to Muslims for the power and dominance of Muslims and for
their own personal gain, but when they met their disbelieving friends, so they
say that we are with you, we go to the Muslims to deceive them and make fun of
them. Their leader was Abdullah Ibn Ubai, who was being made the king of
Madinah and preparations were being made for his coronation, but As soon as
Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) arrived, the people of Madinah recognized him as their
leader and messenger and his kingdom was in danger, so enmity, jealousy and
hatred against him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the Muslims
arose in his heart. Despite this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) continued to treat him kindly, as a result of which his son
Abdullah accepted the faith.
