THE COMPANIONS OF ELEPHANT (FEEL): -
Allah Almighty has mentioned “The Companions of Feel” in
Surah Feel. There was a Christian king named Abraha in Yemen, he built a
beautiful church (church) in Sana’a and wanted to turn all the Arabs who
gathered in the holy land of Mecca and circumambulated the house of Allah
towards it, so that all the people should circumambulate this church without
leaving Bait Allah. When the Arabs came to know about this, they were
very angry. One night, someone took an opportunity and desecrated the church.
Abraha, seeing the desecration of the church, became uncontrollable with anger
and took a large army of elephants to attack the Kaaba. Set out with
intent, when Abraha’s army approached Makkah, a strong wind blew and flocks of
birds flying from the sea swarmed over the army, with small stones in their
beaks and both claws, on the army of elephants. They started dropping those
stones, the stone on which it fell would tear his body and come out. In this
way, the entire army was crushed. Some of them fled to Yemen in misery, among
them was Abraha King, all his organs had rotted. In this way, the mighty hand
of Allah destroyed the Abraha who boasted of material power.
