HALF-UL-FAZUL: -

Persecution and robbery were common in Arabia, people’s rights were violated and the rights of the weak were suppressed. All the public and property were affected by this crime. A similar case also happened in Makkah where a chieftain bought goods from an outside merchant and did not pay the full price. After that, some good people of Makkah gathered at the house of Abdullah bin Jadaan and made an agreement to fight oppression and help the oppressed. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also participated in it and was young at that time. These people named this agreement Halaf-ul-Fazul. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) became young, he again explained the state of unrest in the country, the oppression of travelers and the weak in front of the people of the tribe, and persuaded them to reform. Finally, an association was established and the people of Banu Hashim, Banu Abdul Muttalib, Banu Saad, Banu Zahra and Banu Tamim joined it and each member pledged to remove the unrest of the country, protect the travelers and help the poor and stop the oppressors from oppression. The creation of Allah Almighty benefited a lot from this agreement. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to say even during the time of Prophethood that even today if someone calls me in the name of this agreement and asks for help, I will certainly help him.
