A HISTORICAL DECISION OF THE HOLY PROPHET (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him: -
A few years before the prophethood of the Messenger of
Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, there was a need to rebuild the Kaaba.
The people of all tribes built the Kaaba together, but when the time came to
place the Black Stone, there was a strong disagreement, each tribe wanted to
have this honor, so swords were drawn from all sides and there was bloodshed
ensued. When the matter was not resolved in this way, an old man opined that
the first person to enter Masjid Haram tomorrow morning would decide it.
Everyone liked this opinion. On the second day, the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) was the first to enter. As soon as they saw
him, they all said, “This is Amin, we are satisfied with their decision.” The
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called for a cloak and
placed the black stone on it, and having the chief of each tribe hold the
corners of the cloak, he took it to the Kaaba and placed the black stone in its
place with his own hand. In this way, a great fitnah was ended by you(may Allah
bless him and grant him peace).
