BIRTH OF HAZRAT ISHAQ (PEACE BE UPON HIM): -
The birth of Hazrat Ishaq (peace be upon him) is a great
sign of Allah Almighty, because he was born at a time when his father Hazrat
Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was a hundred years old and his mother Hazrat
Sarah was ninety years old. , although usually there are no children at
this age. When the angels gave the good news of their birth, both of them were
surprised, but the angels reassured and said: “Do not despair “.
Therefore, Hazrat Ishaq (peace be upon him) was born by the order of Allah. In
the same year, Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Ismail (peace be
upon him) built the House of Allah. Hazrat Ishaq (peace be upon him) was
fourteen years younger than Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him). At the age of
sixty, Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) married his nephew’s daughter to
Hazrat Ishaq (peace be upon him), two sons were born to them, one was named Esau
and the other was named Yaqoob.
THE CHARACTERISTICS AND GREATNESS OF HAZRAT ISHAQ PEACE BE UPON HIM: -
Hazrat Ishaq (peace be upon him) was the Jalil-ul-Qadr
Prophet of Allah and possessed many attributes. The Holy Qur’an has testified
to his goodness, nobility, prophethood, mercy, and greatness. He has the
distinction that all the prophets of Bani Israel are from his
generation. It is known from history that about three and a half thousand
prophets were born in his generation. Along with this, he also has the honor of
building a grand mosque like “Aqsa Mosque”. Allah Almighty
mentioned his grace and perfection and said: “We gave good news to Hazrat
Ibrahim Allah about the birth of Hazrat Ishaq (peace be upon him) that he would
be a prophet among the righteous servants and We sent blessings on him and on Ishaq”.
(Surah Safat 112-113) He was born in the land of Iraq, but he lived in
the country of Syria all his life, and he died at the age of one hundred and
sixty years or eighty-one years and was buried in Madinah Al-Khalil
along with his respected father.

death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons, “What will you worship after
me?” They said, “We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham
and Ishmael and Isaac – one God. And we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.”

Baqarah: - 133
Say, [O believers], “We
have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been
revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and
what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their
Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in
submission] to Him.”

Baqarah: - 136
Or do you say that Abraham
and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants were Jews or Christians? Say,
“Are you more knowing or is Allah?” And who is more unjust than one who
conceals a testimony he has from Allah? And Allah is not unaware of what you
do.

Baqarah: - 140
Say, “We have believed in
Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael,
Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and In what was given to Moses and Jesus and
to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them,
and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him.”

Imran: - 84
Indeed, We have revealed
to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we
revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah,
Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].

And We gave to Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob – all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and
among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and
Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good?

And his Wife was standing,
and she smiled. Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob.

And thus will your Lord
choose you and teach you the interpretation of narratives and complete His
favor upon you and upon the family of Jacob, as He completed it upon your
fathers before, Abraham and Isaac. Indeed, your Lord is Knowing and Wise.”

And I have followed the
religion of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And it was not for us to
associate anything with Allah. That is from the favor of Allah upon us and upon
the people, but most of the people are not grateful.

And We gave him Isaac and
Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous.
