HAZRAT HOOD (PEACE BE UPON HIM): -
THE NATION OF AAD:-
Aad is the name of one the oldest Arab nation, it is
mentioned 25 times in the Holy Quran, this nation was settled in south Arabia
and spread in 13 communities from Oman to Yemen. The capital of his country was
the Yemeni city Hazrat Mut, its era is about four hundred years after Hazrat
Noah(peace be upon him) and about two thousand years before Hazrat Esa (Jesus)
(peace be upon him). It was a powerful nation of its time and had great skill
in architecture, carving mountains to build magnificent buildings was there favorite
pastime, this nation was addicted to wealth and luxury, oppressing the weak
opposing the truth and boasting about wealth and power had become their nature,
when the oppression and excesses and polytheism and idolatry of this nation
increased, Allah almighty sent Hazrat Hood (peace be upon him) as a prophet to
guide them.
THE INVITATION OF HAZRAT HOOD (PEACE BE UPON HIM):-
When the nation went beyond the limit in polytheism and
idolatry, Allah sent Hazrat HOOD (peace be upon him) as a prophet. He invited
the people of the nation to monotheism and worship of Allah. Shirk and idolatry
and oppressing people were prohibited. Instead of accepting his advice, the
people began to deny it. Hazrat HOOD (peace be upon him) warned them of
punishment of Allah Almighty. So those people jokingly said, “If you are true
in your invitation, then come to us for punishment.” For this obstinacy and
demand, Allah made him suffer from the torment of famine for three years, due
to which his gardens and farms were all ruined. Instead of learning a lesson
from such a great disaster, the rebellion and rebellion of this unfortunate
nation increased even more. Finally, the wrath of Allah Almighty flared up
again and the stormy winds that lasted for a week blew it away. His name and
mark were erased. After the death of the people of Aad, Hazrat HOOD (peace be
upon him) went to the Yemeni city “Hazar Mut” with the people of faith and here
he passed away at the age of four hundred and sixty-four years after performing
the duty of calling and preaching for fifty years.

And to the ‘Aad [We sent] their brother HOOD.
He said, “O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Then
will you not fear Him?”
Surah
Aeyraaf: - 65
And to ‘Aad [We sent]
their brother HOOD. He said, “O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity
other than Him. You are not but inventors [of falsehood].

Hood: - 50
And when Our command came,
We saved HOOD and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us; and We saved
them from a harsh punishment.
Surah
Aeyraaf:- 58
And they were [therefore]
followed in this world with a curse and [as well] on the Day of Resurrection.
Unquestionably, ‘Aad denied their Lord; then away with ‘Aad, the people of Hood.

And they denied him, so We
destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be
believers.

He said, “Knowledge [of
its time] is only with Allah, and I convey to you that with which I was sent;
but I see you [to be] a people behaving ignorantly.”
