DHUL-QARNAYN: -
In Surah Kaahaf of the Holy Quran, there is a
mention of such a king, whose title is “Dhul-Qarnayn”, he was a very
good-hearted king. Thanks to them, the Israelites were freed from the
Babylonian slavery and a respected place like Jerusalem (Beit al-Maqdis) was
resettled by them after all kinds of destruction and destruction. He traveled
to the East and West and made conquests. Once, during a journey, I met a people,
who complained to King Dhul-Qarnayn or the mischief of Gog-Magog and
said: O Dhul-Qarnayn! Build a wall to protect us from these people. We are
ready to pay whatever you want to charge for it. But Dhul-Qarnayn refused to
take compensation and said: What Allah has given me is enough for me. Then they
built a strong wall, which is known as “Suddi-e-Sikandari”.

Until, when he reached the
setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he
found near it a people. Allah said, “O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them]
or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness.”

They said, “O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and
Magog are [great] corrupters in the land. So may we assign for you an
expenditure that you might make between us and them a barrier?”
